Davevic Benefit Consultants, Inc. was founded in 1988 when Bill Gordon purchased the group insurance accounts from Harshaw's Insurance, Inc. These accounts are located primarily in Mercer, Lawrence, and Venango Counties.
Bill Gordon is a graduate of Michigan State University and is the founder of Davevic Benefit Consultants, Inc.
Johnson Group Consulting of Meadville, PA was purchased in 1991. These accounts are located in Crawford County.
On April 1st, 1993, the first phase of our office was completed at 902 South Center Street, Grove City, PA.
Davevic Benefit Consultants, Inc. purchased the group insurance accounts from Sundahl & Co. Insurance of Bradford, PA on January 1st, 1994. These accounts are located in McKean, Warren, Potter and Elk Counties.
David Gordon joined the firm in June of 1994. David Gordon is a 1990 graduate of Mercyhurst College. He has earned his designation as a Certified Financial Planner (CFP). David Gordon is President of Davevic Benefit Consultants, Inc.
A building addition was completed on January 1st, 1997 doubling the size of the original facility.
Sub-Producers were recruited in 1998 to increase our marketing area and increase the volume of business being serviced by Davevic Benefit Consultants, Inc. That project has grown to include approximately 85 producers who work hand-in-hand with Davevic Benefit Consultants, Inc.
A new building was constructed to house our Administrative Services Department. Ed Benedict was hired to head up this unit. Ed has a strong accounting background and has served as CEO and Controller at various companies.
Michael Baer, an Edinboro University graduate, was hired as an account executive.
Davevic Benefit Consultants, Inc. has completed a building expansion which houses a state of the art conference room which will now allow us to supply video conferencing to all of our clients. Davevic now employs 17 individuals dedicated to servicing the insurance and benefit needs to our clients in the states of Pennsylvania, Ohio, & West Virginia.
Davevic continues to be the area's leader in providing benefits and services to employer groups as well as offering individual consulting services in both the Medicare and Under 65 market. Mike Johnson, a graduate of Eastern University and a Grove City native, joined our team in 2010 and provides strong leadership for our Individual Insurance Division. Carol Hughes, who has been employed by Davevic since 1994 and also a Grove City native, continues in her position as Office Manager. Carol Kaufman, a Davevic employee since 2007, has emerged into the leader of our Ancillary Insurance Division.
Davevic Benefit Consultants, Inc. continues to be Western PA’s most trusted Employee Benefits Advisor. With the addition of Adam Seger, a Slippery Rock University graduate, to our team in 2014, we have continued to build on our Administrative Services for our clients. This includes COBRA, Compliance, and recently the addition of a Benefits Administration Platform. We also recently launched a new Claims Administration Portal for our HRA/FSA/HSA accounts. This new system allows for easier claims submission and more transparency of consumer accounts. We also have our own Davevic Mobile App for employees to submit claims with their phones or tablets, being one of the first to do this in the area.
With the addition of our Online Benefits Administration platform, Davevic continues to be an industry leader. Employers of any size can now handle Enrollments, PTO, Onboarding, and ACA Compliance on one platform, without breaking their bottom line. Davevic currently staffs 16 professionals and are very appreciative of all of their efforts and also the confidence that our clients have placed in us for over 30 years.
